The Problem

A Facebook page is not a website

Most local businesses are running one of three setups, and all three quietly cost them work.

Social only

You don't own it, you can't rank in search with it, and a customer comparing three contractors at 10pm can't find your hours, your service area, or a way to book.

The abandoned template

Built in a weekend three years ago on a free theme. Slow on phones, wrong hours, a contact form nobody has tested since. It's actively costing you credibility.

Pretty, but silent

Someone made it look nice and stopped there. No clear next step, no answers to real questions, no reason for Google to show it to anyone.

Platform Choice

Two ways to build, chosen to fit the job

Most shops build on whatever they know and make your project fit it. We pick after the discovery call, based on what the site has to do and who will be updating it.

Custom-coded

When speed, structure, and integrations matter

Faster load times than any template can reach Full control of page structure and schema markup Custom booking, quoting, or calculator tools No monthly platform fee AI-assisted development, which is what makes this affordable at small-business scale instead of a $15,000 agency line item

Squarespace

When you want to edit it yourself

You change your own text and photos, no developer needed Hosting, security, and backups handled by the platform Built-in scheduling and e-commerce when you need them No maintenance contract required to stay secure Right answer for a lot of local service businesses — we'll say so when it is
How It Works

Six phases, four to six weeks

The timeline starts when your content and access arrive, not at signature. You always know what phase we're in, what's needed from you, and what you're getting at the end of it.

01

Discovery and proposal · 2–5 days

What the business does, who the customer is, what one action matters most, and what's broken now. You get a written scope, deliverables list, timeline, and a flat price. Nothing starts until you approve it.

02

Intake and assets · 3–7 days

Logo files, brand colors, service descriptions, pricing, team bios, testimonials, photos, domain and platform access. You get a checklist, and we flag what's missing before production instead of stalling halfway through.

03

Blueprint · 3–5 days

Sitemap, page outlines, the path a customer takes from landing to booking, where the lead capture sits, and how local search is handled. You approve the plan before anything gets designed — structural changes after this point change scope.

04

Build · 1–3 weeks

Design and development, mobile formatting, written page copy, graphics, forms and calls to action, schema markup, and search basics. You get a complete first version to react to — not a drip of half-finished screens to approve one at a time.

05

Review and revisions · 3–7 days

One consolidated round of feedback from your decision-maker, then a final correction pass. Two rounds are included. Specific beats vague — "this headline should say X" is actionable, "make it pop" needs a conversation first.

06

Launch and training · 3–8 days

Testing across devices and browsers, form and routing verification, proofreading, domain configuration, then publish. Followed by a recorded walkthrough so you can actually run the thing, plus a defined post-launch support window.

Common Questions

Website questions, answered

How much does a small business website cost in Northeast Ohio?+

Across the Canton, Akron, and Cleveland market, quotes run from roughly $997 for a starter site to $15,000 and beyond for complex builds, and most Ohio small businesses land between $2,500 and $5,000 for a professional site with local SEO included. F7 LTD starter sites run $1,500 to $2,500, the common Growth tier runs $2,800 to $5,500, and complex projects start at $6,000. You get one flat number in writing before any work begins.

What platform do you build websites on?+

Two options, chosen to fit the job. Custom-coded builds give you full control over speed, structure, and integrations — AI-assisted development makes that affordable at small-business scale. Squarespace makes sense when you want to update content yourself without a developer. We recommend one after the discovery call rather than forcing every project onto the same platform.

How long does it take to build a website?+

Four to six weeks for a standard project, measured from when your content and account access arrive rather than from signature. The build phase is one to three weeks; the rest is discovery, intake, blueprint approval, revisions, and testing. Late materials and delayed feedback are the two things that move a launch date.

Do I own the website when it's done?+

Yes. You own the domain, the content, and the site. Accounts are set up in your name, and handoff includes access review plus operating instructions. There's no hostage arrangement where leaving means losing your website — ask any agency that question before you sign, and get the answer in writing.

Can I update the site myself afterward?+

On Squarespace, yes — that's largely why we'd recommend it for your project, and training covers exactly how. On a custom-coded build, text and image updates can be handled for you or built with an editing layer if self-service matters to you. Tell us during discovery, because it changes the platform recommendation.

Do I really need a website if I have a Facebook page?+

A social page can't rank for the searches your customers actually run, you don't control it, and it can be restricted or lost without warning. It also can't be cited by Google's local results or by AI assistants answering questions about your service area. A website is the one asset in your marketing that you own outright.

What if I don't have photos or written content?+

Copy is written for you as part of the Growth tier and most Starter projects. Photography is different — professional photo and video is a separate cost, and we'll write the shot list at no charge so a photographer knows exactly what to capture. Where imagery is genuinely missing, we design around it rather than filling the page with stock photos of strangers in an office.

Will the new site rank on Google right away?+

No, and be careful with anyone who says it will. Every build ships with the technical foundation — schema markup, fast pages, answer-ready content, clean structure. Rankings for competitive local terms usually take three to six months of that foundation plus reviews and Google Business Profile activity. Nobody can honestly promise page one in days.

Let's see what your site should actually be doing

Thirty minutes. We look at what you have, where customers are dropping off, and what the smallest useful fix is. You get a straight recommendation and a price. If it's not a match, the conversation ends respectfully.
